Rebirth of a Legend commemorates the restoration of the Douglas D558-1 Skystreak at the Carolinas Aviation Museum in Charlotte, NC. This is the aircraft in which the navy was attempting to break the sound barrier while the air force attempted in the X-1. Three of these aircraft were built; one was destroyed in a crash, one sits in the USN Aviation Museum in Pensacola, the third has been recently restored.

Printed on 100# acid free stock, the edition consists of only 100 prints. Each print is individually signed and numbered by the artist and countersigned by test pilots Scott Crossfield, who flew the D558-1.
