Early May, 1944. 1st. Lieutenant Ralph Giovanniello in his P-40 Warhawk and Captain Bob Johnson piloting his A-36 Apache, both from the 27th Fighter Bomber Group, overfly the ruined town of Monte Cassino (Italy) after attacking German defensive positions atop Monastery Hill.  Below, British and American tanks prepare for the final assault.

Each print is signed by Captain Robert Johnson, 1st Lt. Ralph Giovanniello, 2nd Lt. Charles Waddell, 2nd Lt. Q.S. Kin Cannon, and 1st Lt. Leslie Traughber.
Artist Proofs are also signed by Trooper James Bailey, whose tank is shown in ther center foreground, and who is the artit's father.
Group Edition carries additional signatures from members of the 27th Fighter Bomber Group - 28 signatures total.
