It is Christmas Eve, Saturday, December 24th, 1955, and TWA Flight 269, which originated in Franfurt, Germany, as Ambassador Flight 863,  enters Los Angeles airspace with the San Bernardino Mountains in the distance. As the sun fades, a lone star appears above the horizon. On this Christmas Eve it is truly a special "Evening Star".
