Who can say what emotions Capt. Robert Morgan and his crew felt as they climbed out over the English country-side for the last time on June 9th, 1943. Having completed their 25th combat mission the month before, they were not on their way to Germany, rather, the 'Belle and her crew were going home to begin a two month War Bond tour. The Memphis Belle became a household name and is now restored and preserved in Memphis, Tennessee.
