Flying Officer Jim Gray, of the U.S. 4^th Airforce's Eagle Squadron, serving with 71 Squadron, Royal Air Force, takes down  a Focke-Wulf of JG 1 during the Battle of Britain. The action took place low over the English Channel as Gray and his wingman were on Search and Rescue duty.
