The B-29 could carry a huge payload over a great distance - just what America needed to carry the war back to Japan's homeland. While the B-29 is mostly associated with the atomic bomb, thousands of non-atomic missions were also flown by aircraft not as well known as "Enola Gay" and "Bockscar", like the subject of this print, "Texas Doll".

This print is signed by all five officers of "Texas Doll", which flew out of Saipan in 1944 and 1945.
